Renovation & Extension

This was the first of many successful collaborations with architect Daniel Coyle, marking the beginning of an ongoing working relationship built on a shared focus on high-performance retrofit.

The project has been featured in Passive House Plus magazine and reflects both Daniel Coyle's Master's expertise in energy retrofit and our commitment to precision and attention to detail.

We transformed a Victorian mid-terrace home from a G-rated property to an A1-rated, energy-efficient home — achieving exceptional performance while carefully preserving its character.

This renovation and extension incorporates a number of striking architectural features, including a barrel roof with arched glazing at both ends, and a sun-shaded internal courtyard with full L-shaped glazing, bringing natural light deep into the home.

Internally, the design is anchored by polished concrete floors with integrated underfloor heating, alongside a polished concrete fireplace set within a dramatic vaulted ceiling space.
